What is Vision Share?
Vision Share is a not-for-profit consortium of eye banks cooperating to provide mutually beneficial support services to its members. Vision Share is a leader in the eye banking community in promoting the highest achievable standards of eye donor tissue quality and donor screening for the benefit of recipients.

What does Vision Share do?
Vision Share operates a cooperative, enhanced and efficient tissue distribution system that is fair and equitable to users. Vision Share is the link between patients in need of sight restoration and ophthalmologists performing corneal transplants.

• Vision Share provides donor eye tissues for medical research, medical device research & development, and surgical training according to user specifications.
• Vision Share provides its services to eye banks, corneal surgeons and ophthalmic researchers on an international basis.
• Vision Share maintains high professional and ethical principles and practices.
• Vision Share shares expertise within the eye banking community to develop, promote, and enhance programs and services.
• Vision Share communicates to the public and eye banking community the extent of our activities, philosophy and core values.
• Vision Share seeks to ensure the continued viability of Vision Share members.

Vision Share & the EBAA
All Vision Share members must be certified by the Eye Bank Association of America (EBAA) and maintain accreditation as a condition of membership. Vision Share supports the mission of the EBAA, and on occasion, may represent a joint policy position regarding issues being discussed within the Association.
