• Receives information in regard to tissue available for transplant from source eye banks along with tissue requests from eye banks and corneal surgeons, and then coordinates placement of tissue with users.
• Coordinates requests for scleral and amniotic membrane allografts.
  • Scleral allografts are provided as whole or half scleral shells and are preserved in ethanol.
  • Amniotic membrane grafts can be ordered in either frozen (cryopreserved) or dessicated grafts.

Research Tissues

• Receives requests for donor eye tissue for research and coordinates availability from member eye banks.

Eye Bank Community Intelligence

• Shares and provides information on new trends, surgical techniques and reimbursement issues with member eye banks.
